Roles & Permissions

Every member of an org has a role, and a role is just a named set of permissions. GnomeMetrics ships four pre-built role templates tuned for how engineering orgs are actually structured, plus granular per-report permissions for locking access down further than "reports on or off."

You can opt into any of the four templates while setting up your org, or add them later from Settings → Roles → Add from template. Either way, roles are fully editable after creation — the templates are a starting point, not a fixed tier.
